Nunga Week

Published 1st October 2026

Each November during Nunga Week, we celebrate traditional culture, art, knowledge, history, food and most importantly the First Nations Elders who live and work in the City of PAE.

During Nunga Week we collaborate and partner with a range of community organisations to present a program that has a broad range of activities and events for the community to enjoy.

As part of Nunga week, join us on Sunday 15 November at Yitpi Yartapuultiku for

  • Carving and artefact making drop-in workshops
  • Guided Cultural tours - book here
  • Native dye workshop with Aunty Margaret Brodie and Aunty Tina Flanagan - book here
  • Weaving workshop with Kahila Power-Smith - book here

Visit the dedicated Nunga Week page on the City of PAE website

All activities are free, but some require bookings and may have capacity limits.
