Getting to Yitpi Yartapuultiku

Public transport, car parking and journey information to help you plan your visit to the innovative Aboriginal Cultural Centre in the heart of Port Adelaide, South Australia.

How to get here

Yitpi Yartapuultiku sits on the western edge of Port Adelaide, overlooking the mangrove‑lined Port River.

Our entrance is off Old Port Road, a 2 km drive, walk or cycle from the historic centre of the Port.

By public transport

Adelaide Metro operates frequent services to the precinct. The closest train stop is Port Adelaide Railway Station, which is approximately 750 metres from Yitpi Yartapuultikuu, or a 10 – 15 minute walk.
Bus 117 connects the CBD and western suburbs to Yitpi Yartapuultiku – alight at stop 38 Bower Road, North side and it’s a short walk to the entrance.

By car

Visitor parking is free. The main carpark offers 75 standard bays, four accessible bays, four electric‑vehicle charging points (pay‑as‑you‑charge) and dedicated set‑down zones for taxis and rideshare vehicles and buses. On event days our overflow parking area, 400 metres north on Semaphore Road, is clearly sign‑posted.

Cycling and walking

Riverside paths link Yitpi with Semaphore, the Loop Path and the Dolphin Sanctuary, making arrival by bike or on foot a scenic part of the experience. Bike racks are located near the main entrance.

Groups and coaches

Schools and tour operators are asked to pre‑book a coach bay and arrival time via email so we can manage traffic and ensure a smooth drop-off.
